Nativity Set from Bethlehem, hand-carved from olive tree wood, 11 parts, height: approx. 13 cms.

Kept entirely in the Gothic style, these figures appear solemn and devout. Formal consistency and the calm facial expressions are reminiscent of sculptural work found in sacral builldings of the Gothic period. The beauty of this nativity scene will rather increase over time.

The complete set is featuring the Virgin Mary, Joseph, the Infant Jesus lying in his manger, ox and donkey, the Three Wise Men, 1 shepherd boy and 2 sheep. Single groups are also available.
